AI apps that keep your data on your device.

We're a small studio building apps where the default is local-first: your data stays on your phone unless you explicitly choose otherwise. No dark patterns, no ad trackers, no accounts you didn't ask for.

What we build

Two apps. Both designed so the AI runs where your data already lives, whenever that's possible.

In testing

Habitography

A habit tracker that plays like an idle RPG. Complete real tasks, grow your character's stats, and explore a zone-based world map — with an AI companion that can run entirely on your device.

Sellsnap

Photograph a second-hand item and get an identification plus a fair price range, based on recent comparable sales.

Our principles

On-device by default

Where it's technically possible, processing happens on your phone. Nothing needs to leave your device for the app to work.

No accounts unless needed

If a feature can work without a login, it does. Accounts only show up for things that genuinely require them, like optional social features.

Plain-language privacy

Our privacy policy says what actually happens to your data, in plain English — no legal fog. See it on our privacy page.

Who's behind Sotasci

Sotasci is run by Tejas Vyas, a software architect and computer vision researcher based in Toronto, with a background in enterprise systems and research on compact multimodal models. Sotasci is where those two interests meet: small, useful apps that run AI on your device instead of in someone else's cloud.
